For people outside Europe: why Germans have to lose

No, it has nothing to do with The Second World War. Although some people in The Netherland still think Germans ride on stolen bicycles, point their arm stretched to something flying in the air and holiday camps are bordered by barbed wire, most German people are relaxed people.

But something is triggering anti-german feelings this European Championship football in Vienna. And that’s the big luck of playing bad football against great playing teams, but eventually winning in the last minute. Take an example on the match between Germany and Turkey. The Turks did play beautiful football, better than the Ducth team showed in the Quarter Final. But despite that, a little bit of luck ( and a great goal), smashed the Turkish dream.

Today, Spain is playing against Germany. Spain did play great, showing stylish football performed by great names like Torres and Villa. Let me hope that Spain, and football, wins this final. But something tells me that history is repeating….

Update: They lost… Now having a tastefull beer.

Meanwhile during the game:

Release the hounds, build up some new towers and let’s roll out that barb wire.
